DigitalFormats

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 4 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of DigitalFormats (the "Service"), operated by DigitalFormats ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

DigitalFormats provides online tools for compressing, merging, splitting, converting, and organising PDF and image files. Most processing happens directly in your browser; we do not upload or store your files on our servers unless explicitly stated for a specific tool.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use the Service beyond browsing. Accounts are created via a magic link sent to your email — no password is required. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address associated with your account secure, as this is how you sign in.

3. Free usage and paid plans

New accounts receive a limited number of free uses across our tools. Once these are used, you may purchase either a one-time credit pack or a recurring monthly subscription for unlimited use, as described on our pricing page. Prices are shown in GBP and may change; we will not change the price of an active subscription without notice.

4. Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via the "manage subscription" option in your account, and you will retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

5. Refunds

Please see our Refund Policy for full details on refunds and your cancellation rights.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to process files that infringe on copyright, contain unlawful content, or that you do not have the right to handle. You agree not to attempt to circumvent usage limits through automated means, multiple accounts created to abuse free credits, or any other method not intended by us.

7. Your files

For tools that process files directly in your browser, your files are never transmitted to our servers. Where a tool requires server-side processing (for example, certain document conversions), files are processed transiently and deleted promptly after processing; they are not retained or used for any other purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that conversions, compressions, or other file operations will be error-free or suitable for every purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data. We recommend keeping a backup of any original file before processing it.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
